This past weekend, my friend and I checked out one the newest pop up exhibit in the Art’s District of Los Angeles: Happy Place. We had visited the Museum of Ice Cream in November, and were really interested in seeing Happy Place. The Happy Place really lived up to its name, and we were so entranced by all of the multi-sensory immersive rooms. We even had a celebrity in the museum while we were there; Meredith Grey aka Ellen Pompeo from Grey’s Anatomy was at the exhibit with her family.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the Happy Place, and I would love to check it out again before its run is over. Definitely take your time in each room, and take lots of photos! Your Instagram feed will be lit with all the pictures from the exhibit!
Tickets are still available, but the exhibit is only up for another month so visit it soon!
“I did it for the gram, so you wouldn’t have to.” Today was the first day Starbucks rolled out their Unicorn Frappuccino; and it will only make its magical presence for another 4 days. At first glance this drink looks exactly like it sounds, magical. So after seeing everyone post their photos on Snapchat and Instagram, I decided to stop by after work to try it out.
Now I really wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this up. From what I was reading on Twitter, everyone had come to conclusion that this drink was pretty awful. But, I am the type who would rather come to their own conclusions about things rather than listen to the opinions of others. And I’m usually the odd ball who enjoys most things that people can’t stand. This drink on the other hand, was a different story.
The first sip was sour (which was a huge surprise for me). The second sip was alright. And the third sip was a little sweet. I honestly didn’t know what to make of this drink, it was all over the place! I had my mom try it and she said it was sour, she even made the disgusted sour face. I didn’t even finish half of it before I tossed it in the trash. I think the combination of sweet and sour was just not sitting right in my stomach.
I tried to warn as many people as I could on social media, to not try it. I guess that’ll teach me to not jump into the hype in its early stages. Oh well, it was all for science! (yeah…right)
